Hi. I am not from Thailand and not a Thai either. I wish to go there and find a good job. What will I do? Can i bring some documents with me even if I go there as a tourist? While I am there, may I apply in different companies before my ticket expires? thank you very much

Given the limited information you have provided and the good advice from George V, I can only add that it may be worth spending some time as a tourist in Thailand before you decide to work and pressumably settle here for some time.
I would aim to spend about two to three months in the Kingdom, ask the foreigners who live and work here for their advice and experieinces, get some information from the immigration police in Suan Phlu, then go back home reflect and then decide.

Unless you are on an ex-pat package then salaries are indeed a lot lower than in Singapore, Hong Kong and even Malaysia, the hours tend to be long also. Unless you are in a teaching position (you will need a B. Ed or some other degree with a teaching certificate) holidays are also very stingy and not what you would expect in Europe, Australia, New Zealand or Canada (the USA is an exception as they do not give good holidays anyway).
So come for a few months; ask around those living and working here; seek official advice; go back home to reflect; and then make up your mind.
But remember even paradise can turn into hell on occasions.

Obtaining employment in Thailand for a Farang (Foreigner) is very difficult. There are several reason why many foreigners can not find a job which I willl gladly list for you.

First of all, there is a relatively high minimum salary for foreigners in Thailand and many companies cant justify paying a foreigner a salary which 5 or 10 thai staff all earn together. Please dont think that you could simply tell the company that you would work for less as the reason for the high salary minimum is that the Thai government only wants foreign workers who really have extensive experienced or specialized skills. (Hoteliers, IT etc)

If you find a company that does want to hire you then you still have to apply for a work permit. There is a limit of how many foreigners a company may employ (most companies only have 2 or 3) and the foreigners that they do hire are often leaders in their field, lots of experience etc.

You need to have certain things such as a college degree otherwise you will not be considered for a work permit. You will also have to get a non immigration visa B which can not be issues within Thailand so you would need to leave the country and apply for one as one of Thailand's consulates or embassies abroad.

Please also note that many of the farangs working in Thailand are very underpaid as salaries are relatively low compared to western salaries or even those found in nearby Singapore or Hong Kong.

I do not know your background but in case you do not have strong experience in a specialized field such as Finance. Hospitality or IT for example then you can forget about finding proper employment. If you do want to push ahead with your dream then the only thing that would remain an option is to get some TOEFL English teaching certificate and become an English teacher along with the thousands of other young Europeans and Australians that work as teacher in Thailand. Salaries are very low and working conditions not ideal for the teachers but we all have suffer to get to paradise, right?

For a great forum with more information about Thai work permits, visas and employment topics then you should have a look at http://ww.thaivisa.com/ Its a great site with many helpful forum members.
