Because people who are devoted to their religions always think their religion is the only right one. They are brainwashed into their beliefs from the time they are children, and many grow up never realizing it is OK to question things they do not understand, or things that do not make sense.

There would be less negativity in religion if they could find a different way to get advertising time. Every time you turn on the tv there are christians picketing in front of a Marilyn Manson concert or an abortion center or a gay marriage. they need Tom Cruises publicist to really screw them up in peoples eyes.

I don't like organized religion per say, but I think faith in a certain way of spirituality is necessary. We are spiritual beings, whether for real or whether it was built into us via evolution so we wouldn't be so scared of death.

Religion isn't the problem though, it's the people who take things the wrong way. Jesus never hated gays, or killed people in his own name. His followers have.

I never read anything like that when I was part of the church. I am an agnostic now. These writings in your link almost sound made up. But then again, I've never read the bible, cover to cover.

They argue because they can't seem to come to a mutual agreement.

I hate to see people bashing each other, I think its wrong. There should always be respect and if nothing else then they should agree to disagree and respect one another.

Lets all learn to have respect for others, weather we agree with them or not.

I don't know, I see no problem with other people believing in their own gods or whatever...just do it in the privacy of your own home.

The only kind of religion I could really have a problem with is one that teaches unfounded hatred towards people.

Other than that, i don't care what people believe in.
