There are number of things that can cause the symptoms you describe.
If it continues, I would suggest starting from your regular MD as it can easily be medical. Then if that does not solve your problem, then go see a psychologist. If that doesn't work, see a psychiatrist. Recognize though, most people feel anxious from time to time. It is only a problem if it persisits or comes back often.
DO NOT use alcohol. Using alcohol to fix a mental issue is a formula for an addiction.

You are probably suffering from depression in addition to your anxiety. I feel the same way all the time. I tried counseling, exercise, diet change.. you name it. I finally decided to use meds, and so far nothing has changed.. but I just started. Try calling your doctor to see about starting some sort of counseling. Trust me, you don't want to live this way.

I had similar symptoms...I was diagnosed with Sever Panic Disorder....I have been on Zoloft after allot of other meds and everything is allot better. Not 100% but I will take it. You've probably been told this already, but see a professional...It could a one time occurrence.

Psychological counseling or alchol will help you...booze is cheaper...
