Vanity leaves deep scars, and also twists the psyche to believe that worthiness is also based on age..

Concentrate on who you truly are, be comforted to know that who you are has nothing to do with looks......
Enjoy a healthy and enhanced lifestlye that is not burdened by the money that it once took to look like an ideal that is fleeting to say the least.......

Give your guy some space , spend time developing your inner self and less on the superficial ..Then, no matter what happens you will be ready to face the world....

Good Luck !

HELLO BUTTERFLY,
i can soooo relate to what you are saying.....but honey, you are only 35 years old. you are still so young ! right now would be a great time for you to start using the anti-aging creams and/or lotions & serums.
actually, i didn't go thru the phase that you are going thru now, until i was about 48 (i've always been told that i look so young for my age) and that's when my problems started....the insecurities,
not wanting to leave my house in the day time for fear that people
could see my aging skin. and now that i am 59 years old i am really starting to flip out. but, thru time and experience i have learned that i need to really take care of myself. especially my face. and it is very important that you do some form of exercise for at least 30-45 minutes per day. the exercise alone will help you feel like a new person. but, try to make a daily habit of applying make-up and really taking care of your hair. and make sure that you dress nicely and that your clothes are clean. if you do these things it will help you to feel so much better about yourself and i am certain that your BF will not be able to leave you alone if you know what i mean.
don't let things like this depress you.....you are so young yet. just keep a smile on that pretty face and just be yourself and all the rest will fall into place........and THEN if your BF doesn't straighten up then tell him that you are having a GOING AWAY PARTY FOR HIM==and then just walk away.
one thing i did want to mention to you is that my life did not even start until i was 37 and then i met the man of my dreams and we have been together ever since. so not to worry, ok?
God bless and keep you safe and happy===and a very happy new year to you !!!==i really do care about you because i've been thru the same thing as you, many times, and i want nothing but the best for you, OK? luv sweetness

I've seen some really unattractive people radiate beauty - - - - and it all comes from within and them having self-confidence. They probably don't think much about their looks one way or the other because other than everyday female/male maintenance, their "glow" comes from being a good friend and being kind towards others.

If your man won't commit and you are frustrated, then say "goodbye" and move on. He doesn't deserve you. I'd say that your skin is doing crazy things because you are stressed. If you rid yourself of the boyfriend, then maybe you'll get rid of the stress as well.

If your boyfriend judges you on how you look, he's a really sucky BF.
It's not unusual for one to get depressed over looks; I mean, your looks are what people see first, unless you've met a person through other means than in person. I'm glad you feel sprightly. I'm younger than you and I could use some vim.

Drink lots of water and eat healthily, and do something that makes your skills useful. You can't wait for your BF to commit. He is or he ain't. XP

Remember....time changes EVERYTHING.....even beautiful women and handsome men.

IF you have a boyfriend that is only interested in your beauty, you don't have much to look forward to. Give him the boot and find someone that will love you for you. Remember, "beauty is skin deep and ugly is to the bone". Got it?

You need to learn to grow old gracefully, enjoy life and don't go scratching and screaming to the grave. Smile, be happy. Good luck. Pops

Sure it is normal to have bad days, relavent to how you look. We are all going to age, hopefully with grace.

Is your depression soley dependent on how you feel your boyfriend perceives you? If so, he is not worth being depressed over.

Go to a salon and get the works-hair cut and color, pedicure, and manicure. Do this for yourself, to make you feel good about you.

Well yeah if you look like Kermit the frog, oh sorry, I guess at least he never aged. This is where you need to start developing character, luckily suffering helps build that!

Yes...everyday. I am 42 and aging sux. I think if you have a mind set of self worth and are in a loving relationship it is easier to handle. I, myself have neither. Maybe you can talk to someone so it doesn't get worse...(your depression.)

find somebody who likes you for you

maybe get real ugly, tired, whatever, don't dress up, see who likes you that way

then relax about it for the rest of your life
