I got HIGHLY intoxicated on new years and my co-worker and I slept together. It has been a little odd around the office since then. He is a real good friend but I dont want to presue anything further and made that known. Will the oddness go away or did I ruin a friendship

The oddness can go away, but you have to make an effort to act normal and get things back to normal. It wouldn't hurt talking to him about it and being extremely honest about your feelings. Then go on and act normal the way you did before, even if you have to make an effort to do that at first. And one really big thing - DON'T talk to other co-workers about it. Let it pass and time should help it go away.

no relax i have done that more then a few times . just take them aside one time and say you were great in bed but i think for the sake of our jobs we had better behave like it never happened and not even mention it to each other again.
end with a too bad we work together but that's life and then say oh well and either walk off or say some of the stuff you used to talk to him about refer back to that so he gets in the groove.
it wont do you wrong to at least have a good make out session with the guy one time first so he figures he was not viewed by you as a ugly guy or a poor sex partner . but unless its really fun
oh heck get him off once more and say there now we can relax and go back to the office and back to being good friends who have had the pleasure of knowing each other .
hey i see some guy below me saying all men will tell everyone well thats not right not at all . that is a myth
hey girl you got nothing to worry about maybe for fun at the next office party you can do him again kind of make it like a little company bonus for you both . but nothing like that when there is no office party. i am messing up my answer because you got me remembering some good times with some great co-workers

Kelly K - you messed up a friendship and a co-worker relationship. It doesn't matter that you were drunk - you let your co-worker hit it, and, unless the sex was really really really bad, he's going to want to come back for more.

If you tell him no, he won't be your friend and it will be funny working around him.

Also MEN GOSSIP - a lot worse than women do!!!

So every man on your job knows that you let him hit it - because he told them!!!

If your friend is a typical male, I would bet that an hour after he got to work on January 2, he told every man on your job that he had sex with you - he probably told them all the details, and he made up a lot of details.

Remember, men ALWAYS LIE to other men about sex!!!

If it was a 2 minuite quickie, he told them that he was on top of you for two hours straight and you were begging for more when you were done!!! He probaly also gave the other guys a vivid discription of what you look like naked!!!

So I bet that all the other men on your job are looking at you funny too!!!

If he is a good friend then ask. Take a deep breath, walk up to him and ask "Did I mess up and lose a good friend?" Hopefully you both will have a good giggle over the 'misadventure' and that will be that. At worst, the oddness will pass and the friendship will just fade away.

Best of luck with this.

The oddness will go away with time and you can just pretend it didn't happen or you can sit down and talk about it. He is probably feeling the same oddness as you are. I would suggest talking with him about about it and just letting him know how you feel and see how he feels about the whole situations. The relationship between you two will definetaly be different but you can still remain friends. You'll just know him in other ways now...LOL.
As long is there is no jealousy going on, on either end and you both felt the same way about it then you should be able to resume life as it was before.

It really depends on how your relationship was- how the "connection" happened and how you both have reacted since then. It also depends on what your work positions are and how you have to deal with each other there.
Why don't you go out for drinks on Friday and either, sleep together again and start a realtionship- or put the ackwardness out in the open and discuss how you both can , maturely, get around it.

you ruined a friendship...hopefully he doesnt go around the office blabbing about it, it would suck being known as the office bike...you know everyone gets a ride? And dont use the booze as an excuse, you wanted it and you just needed some lame reason to justify you doing him...

The oddness will only pass after the both of you get together and discuss that weird feeling.

Just pretend that nothing happen since you did it in drunken state! and the oddness will pass in a while unless you wish to do it with him again!
