Canned fruit is full of sugar and syrup. Deffinantly go with fresh instead of canned. Fresh has more fiber, and stuff than the canned stuff.

When one can't afford fresh fruit from the produced isle then canned fruit is better then nothing. Eating the fresh stuff if better for you. It will contain more of the nutrients the body needs. With canned fruit they normally process a lot of the good stuff you need out of it. If you do go the canned fruit route DON'T get the fruit in heavy syrup. Get it in light syrup or it's own juices. The heavy syrup just extra sugar you don't want. Good eating to you.

Be careful because alot of canned products have additives like sugar, salt or preservatives. In this case I would be almost 99% sure there is added sugar in the product.
You're better off having some in the cupboard in case you can't get fresh fruit rather than substituing it for the fresh stuff.
Have fruity fun!

Besides the fact that canned food is loaded with sugar, the can in general is bad for you. The Aluminum (which is very bad) is leeching into the food. Aluminun causes Alzheimers disease. You should just buy fresh fruit in advance, cut it up and freeze it and then take as much as you want when you want it. Oh yeah and try to put it in a small glass container or bottle.

Especially if the label says "in heavy syrup", then it's got a LOT of sugar! Lots more calories than fresh fruit. You're better off in the produce aisle!

Yes canned fruit (no sugar added or even light syrup) is just as good, only if eating it in Moderation ! If you still feel guilty about canned fruits wash it out, boil it and then freeze it up , that is exactly what I do, I wash and sterilize my fruit and Veggies (mostly Beans of course) before I eat it, remember , Moderation!

It's better than eating a candy bar, but not much. Basically, the closer to the garden you can get, the healthier. For example, from least healthy, to healthiest....
Peaches canned in heavy syrup
Peaches canned in light syrup
Peaches canned with own juices
Frozen peaches
FRESH PEACHES!
and anyways, peaches are one of those things that just taste better fresh! and even a bowl of fresh peaches sprinkled with a tablespoon of sugar is still a lot healthier than canned peaches. and i know i know, you didn't say a thing about peaches. just an example, but it holds true for canned fruit and veggies in general.

canned fruit contains preservatives and additives.
so it has extra sugar and other products.
Canned fruit have a longer shelf-life.but there may be some nutrients destroyed in e process of canning.
its another alternative but not an exact subsitute.as fruits on t he produce are more fresh and contains more nutrients.

No. You can't beat "fresh" fruit. The canned things have a LOT of sugar and some perservatives plus other things.
Good luck. Pops

maximum states have county/state extension offices. They do foodstuff preparation, sensible paying for, etc. I disgree with you that healthful ingredients at the instantaneous are not as low-fee as junk. This week our Kroger has frozen greens at 10 bags (maximum are a million pound) for $10. So even a million pound an afternoon will be solid. you may also locate that you qualify for "foodstuff on wheels" classes the position they convey you foodstuff no fee each and each day. those classes frequently cover 2 foodstuff, at warm one and one you may reheat for dinner. i imagine you should also attempt to hit upon a subsidized house.
