i have a 1 inch curling iron can i use it to make my hair wavy?

i have a 1 inch curling iron by vidal sassoon, but every time i try to make it wavy it just looks a crimped and scrunched. is it because the curling iron is not the right size, or do i need to use some products or a technique? thanx a bunch!

YES, BUT THEY WILL BE LOOSE AVES. FOR TIHTER WAVES TRY USING A 3/4'' OR 1/2'' CURLING IRON. MAYBE YOU SHOULD EVEN CONSIDER BUYING WAVERS.

A larger iron would work better, but I have used a 1 inch curling iron on my hair and it worked fine, my hair is more thin so i added a volumizing moose before I blow dry to add more texture and volume which is key for waves, then I curled all around with the curling iron, and tried to not add too much hairspray so they would be loose, afterwords the curls were pretty tight but I fingered through them to losen them up to give it more of the wavy look and not the spiral curled look....

Your curling iron is too small but if you are unable to purchase a larger one try using curling serums/product beforehand. Each time you make a curl spray with hairspray for definition and so it stays in place.

I just bought a three barrel hair waver, and it makes excellent waves, maybe you should try one out. A 1 inch curling iron is designed to make tight spiral curls. Try a three barrel waver instead.

your iron is just too smalll either get a bigger one or an easier way is to scrunch your hair when it is wet mabe using a light hold mousse....you can also use rollers ...soft or hard ones work well...have fun

you might want to get another one that is bigger to get better waves
i have the same size but i role my hair up and then make it wavy it looks great

its too small......you need a two inch too make it look wavy....
