Well, one thing the world does not need is cat breeders, but if you must...
He is marking his territory. As long as there are females around and he is intact, he will spray. If you can find a way to separate him from the rest, that might help. You might have to separate him in another home altogether until you are ready to have them together. If he stays in the same house, he will probably still spray, even if he is in a different room, he still knows the females are there.
FYI-it is very difficult, if not impossible, to completely remove Tomcat urine odor. This could very much be a losing battle for you. If you decide later on to neuter him, he is likely to continue to spray. The younger they are the better.

I've been working as a vet tech for seven years and I can tell you there is nothing you can do. A un neutered cat will spray to mark their territory. Same thing with a male dog. Some people think he just is'nt house broken. I male wants to leave his mark to let other males know this is his home, and to let females know he is there. I neutered feline if neutered at 4 months will never spray, A neuter dog wont even lift his leg, they urnate like females.
If you neuter, your take away the need to mark terrritory. Since you want to breed, you just have to deal with the STRONG smell.

Do you realize that for every 1 person born, there are 7 puppies and kittens
born? At best, 1 will find a forever home.
And don't forget, that every "Free-to-good-home" litter takes homes away
from animals already at the shelter.
STOP letting your pets; or your friends, relatives or co-workers pets
contribute to the problem.
If you love animals, it is NOT ENOUGH to merely say "My pets are fixed".
Vow to educate and enable others to fix their pets too.
Spaying just 1 female dog or cat, will prevent 6 others from ending up in a
shelter the following year.
Please be part of the solution, NOT the problem!
Thank you. ^..^

WOW alot of these people are mean, but they are right! I went to the shelter today and adopted a kitty and It's so sad to see all the cats that need homes. We don't need cat breeders.

Didn't you go over this possibility with your breeder mentor before you decided to "start breeding cats"? Seems this would have been one of the first 10 things addressed . . .
Since basically only show animals should be bred, I'm surprised that no one in the show world told you about this problem. . .

wow did i miss the memo??? are cats and endangered species or something???? why do we need "breeders" especially those who dont seem to know anything about it? can it be that the millions and millions of cats in the world who are being killed on the streets and in shelter have all found homes?????
strange i didnt know there was ever a need for a so called cat breeder unless they have something special and actually know what they are doing.....

hey you really can't stop him that the way the male marks his territory and shows his dominant side. You could try to keep him away from the female until she is ready to mate. Hope is work's out for you.

Absolutely unbelievable. Why can't people get it. Do you find the thought of endless amounts of unwanted cats getting put to sleep because of breeders like yourself a pleasant thought?

you cannot stop this, especially if there is a female here in season, he is marking his teritory, the only thing that you could do is confine them to a smaller area, then you will have less to clean

WOW!!! Didn't you KNOW that was going to happen??????
Well Sherlock, neutering is the ONLY way and once they start, MANY of them DO NOT STOP!! EVER. There HAS to be an easier, less smelly way to make a buck!!!
