Yes, I know God exists! Look around you! The proof is in the air your breathe, the skies that you view, the stars that sit so perfectly in the sky, the birth of a newborn baby, the animals that magnify this earth, the feeling you get when you pray or do something nice for someone, the way the Earth is so perfect for humans to thrive on, in the reason the Earth sits in perfect length from the sun keeping it in just enough distance to heat us without burning it up, the perfection of how animals live and thrive off another species, the human cell in all its complexity, the ratio of oxygen mixture in the air so perfect if it were off by much we would either die of oxygen deprivation or of too much oxygen, the perfect alignment of the universe, the innocence of a small child, in the complexity of the human brain, among so many other wondrous and glorious things that surround us on this lovely planet we call Earth!

Also...the Bible says in the end times people will look for signs but none will be given! You know God exists by faith! God wants us to trust in him, to have faith that he exists simply because of the miracle of Earth and life! He will not send down a lightening bolt to jerk you into believing...it takes faith!

Those who look for signs are damned already! It doesn't take a sign or evidence to know that Earth and all the complexity of the universe and life could not have invented itself...it's too complex...too perfect....someone, a higher being...had to begin it!

Yes, because the proof of creation. Example: when you look at a painting how do you know it exists. You would probably say.. because I can see it. But you don't know who created the painting all you know is that it is a painting.. I'm created, so I know there is a creator.. And I have the faith to believe God is that creator. I could not go through life believing I am here for a very short 80possible years and die and there be no more. What would be the purpose of this? nothing.. so I choose to believe that God exists.

Actually there is plenty of proof He exists. You may just have to get to know Him before you can see the proof. I don't see how something could be created from nothing. And there is a whole lot of somethings around us, and something is not nothing. I think a lot of people think they have gotten to modernized or intelligent to believe in God. If they could really think deep enough about why and how everything works, then they would understand. Sometimes on the surface, a person will not see how there is a God, but if they will really get into it, study it, meditate on all the miracles and mysteries that happen, for instance, birth, then they might understand. We could not be seen when we were being conceived, but that did not mean we were not there. Did humans create themselves? I do not see how. Did the earth create itself? What about music? Was it really invented by humans, or was it discovered? God does not have to prove he exists. He wants us to love Him enough to show it to Him through faith in Him. He does not want to have to prove His existence and make us love Him.

those who say that there is no evidence for god must lack sensory perception or just be totally ignorant.

i do not acredit god to a specific religion, therefore my belief is not constrained by any man-made doctrine that dictates to me crazy things like "the earth is 6000 years old" or "non believers go to hell".. religion can be dangerous in this regard, and a reason why people lose faith in god.

follow evolution through back to the dinosaurs to the big bang. what was before it? what caused it? what was the purpose of it all?

then, consider all the thousands of people who have had out of body experiences, near death experiences, spiritual experiences etc. etc.. is it that all these people are frauds and inventing such feelings? then, look at why people follow religions. sure, many are born into their religions and follow them their entire lives without question, but there are many that 'feel' something - spiritually.

think of why morals - good and evil, exist in the human consciousness. if we all just "happened", wouldnt be act like animals? living in an unorganised, carnal existence without compassion for others in an effort to survive day-to-day. doesnt sound right to me..

as far as im concerned, believing in god is far more positive than believing in nothing.

as a good friend once told me, take a look at nature, at the animals.. all the complex beauty that exists around us, theres your evidence.

Yes I do believe God exists. I believe this because of many miracles that have happened to people. I also believe it because of the many beautiful things I can look outside and see. Many of these things we often take for granted, such as the moon, stars, clouds, etc. I believe it because any time I ask him for something, he gives it to me. I don't necessarily get the exact thing I want, but help comes to me in other ways. I believe in him because of the miracle of life. I also believe that going through life not having any hope that there is something other than Earth would be depressing. There are many reasons.

I do believe in a God, simply because I like to have somebody to believe in. But it's as controversial a topic as global warming.

Because I think God (and global warming) is a way to get people to behave. If they think they're going to spend eternity floating on a cloud with everything they've ever wanted/loved, then why not help that poor little street urchin, you know? Score some points with the big man. The bible, to me, sounds like a bunch of stories with deep meaning. How could anything like that have ever happened. It's hard to imagine without solid proof. You just have to have faith. People who hope are often happier, and that's why I believe in God. I hope someday that I'll get rewarded for being kind, and even if I don't, I still be happy that I was.

I don't believe in God because he 'created us' because to me, that sounds like an excuse to explain the unexplainable... how on earth we got here in the first place!

Because I could not prove otherwise. The existence of God makes more sense so that is why I believe.

I believe God exists. Not because I was taught that (even though I was) but because of the way I look at the beginning of life on Earth.

How did it BEGIN? There must have been something that made it start, that made it exist. That something was God.

Yes.

All finite actualities exist contingently. If there were no being which existed necessarily, there would ultimately be nothing for them to be contingent upon. Therefore a necessary being exists. That's God.

No; why should I believe that any god, much less a certain god (say, zeus, the flying spaghetti monster, or the judeo-christian god) exists?

There is no evidence for their existence, and everything points against it.

People are so scared - of death, of responsibility, of thought - that they embrace superstitions thousands of years old.
