You cant win love, you have to work for it. You have to put effort and thought behind your words and emotions. Romantic movies, and special nights, loving names, flowers, candles, and sweet random love notes help. But it is you that are the key to the love. You have to put as much into the relationship as you want to get out of the relationship.

If you have already found one, then you need to work at it by gifting love, not necessarily picking at him/her and by not finding too many faults, and by being honest and straightforward.
