She probably has a hairball. My cat does that whenever she's going to cough one up. Sometimes it doesn't come up though, so then it just sounds like she's coughing.

I think she could have a hairball stuck since this is very common. I'm wondering if she has long hair. There's food out there for hairball ease. Hopefully ashma isn't the culprit but I believe cats suffer more from hairballs than ashma.

she dousnt have asma she might be sick from the coldness i know this cuz i used to have a cat and it used to happen alot
