Depends on their age my kids started that crap and were told get your butt in here and help cook if you don't want to help and don't like what is cooked Don't eat Also you are NOT a catering service.they are old enough to know what they want they can help fix it and help clean up. they were also told that they were old enough to mess up their room they could clean especially the dirty clothes. If they couldn't get them in the hamper in the washroom then they didn't get washed. TOUGHEN UP GIRL or they will take over

I know what you're talking about. My mom complains about the same thing. The thing is that she doesn't like anyone else in her kitchen so she throws some crappy food on the table and tells us to eat or starve. I don't think that's right of her. If you're not letting people use your kitchen, then stop doing that. Let them cook what they want. Maybe they should buy want they want to eat too.

I usually make one thing and if they are that picky about what they want, they get to make it! I only allow one thing to be cooked, though, so it limits them to PB&J or some coldcut sandwich if they refuse to eat what I cook! I usually ask for their input on what they'd like for dinner, though, so we don't have that problem too often.

I hear ya! I always tell my kids and hubby that I feel like a short order chef! That's why we eat out as often as we sometimes do, I get so sick of the hassle and whining! UGH!

You're being too nice--make what you want to make (after all, you're the one doing the work) and let the finicky ones who don't want to eat it figure themselves out.

Please who's the Boss. 3 Choices. 1. Eat what I make. 2. Make someting for yourselves. 3. Go Hungry.

Why is it? Because you let them get away with it.
