I don't believe in God so how could He claim I have sinned against him, when he never TOLD me what to do in the first place! I have only sinned against my OWN morals, not the sick morals in the Bible (slavery, rape, murder are okay). I do not get my morals from the Bible. What do I have to worry about? Even if your God was true, I don't really have anything to worry about. God wouldn't send anybody to hell for a dumb reason, like sinning against him (which I haven't), or not having faith. Thats even weirder, faith is. What kind of freak with emotions so strong he would send somebody to burn in hell forever, just because of a little misunderstanding?

The Day of Judgement... God demands my answer as to why I didn't believe him, well duh! there was no evidence!

LOLOL...okay, you are sin free because you do not believe in God, we get it. Do you believe anything is wrong to do to others? Are you wrong free as well?

Day of judgement...remember your sunscreen loser.

honey, calm down. Slavery, rape and murder are not okay. In the old testament ppl did such things. . but it wasn't okay. In the New Testament murder is clearly outlawed (even though it was also in the OT) and rape quite obviously falls under the sin category of sexual sin. Slavery, while not condemned, is not really condoned either. It does talk about slavery, but that is what was going on back in the time of Jesus. the Bible doesn't say that ppl should have slaves, it just says how slaves should act. Basically that they work hard and respect.
Second, you have sinned against God, just as we all did. read the New Testament, please darling. The Bible clearly says that we are to believe in Him through faith, therefore you have no excuse.
Third, there is no misunderstanding. If you read the Bible, there will be no misunderstanding.

Science can explain life and creation.

And... even if some Divinity or Divinities DOES exist, that proves little about which holy book(s) or myth(s) is/are right, if any.

Some fundamentalist posters have tried to make logical sounding arguments, but it's really just sophistry (using pseudo-logic to try to prove something you want to be true). They'll say things like "life and creation prove God." Well, even if science were inadequate to explain life and creation (and I think it IS adequate), life and creation could still be explained by multiple Deities, by Allah, by Ahura Mazda (the Zoroastrian God), by Amaratsu (the Shinto Goddess), by Brahma (the Hindu creator Deity who is really one with Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer). There are all sorts of mythic explanations one can give. Logically, lack of explanation by science and proof of Divinity are two separate things. Even if science were inadequate, it would only prove that we DO NOT KNOW why life and creation exist, NOT that Divinity necessarily exists. So, I think that that would be an argument for agnosticism rather than theism.

Many fundamentalists just insist on illogical sophistry because they're nasty, miserable people who enjoy making other people feel bad and like telling other people that they're going to suffer eternally. Others have morality that depends totally on their myths being literally true. It's a moral house of cards. So much as breath on it, and they are devoid of any reason to be moral. I believe in being ethical simply because the world would be a better place if I am. Rather than depending on the literal truth of a myth, my ethics are based simply on logic and empathy.

What I have to say to the Fundamentalists is, "I don't know what's going on in the universe and neither do you." Fundamentalism is baseless. More power to you for standing up to it and saying you'll figure things out for yourself, thank you very much.

if you don't believe in god why you tell us, guess what i have the answer; because you are unconsciously feels that there must a creator for this life or why every thing is well organized, and working in a very systematic way, actually in my opinion every thing in life is so beautiful that in which it is working very logically and unpredictably, and that what art is all about it is so simple in it's appearance but it takes a lot to made it. plus it must be a one God who made all of this because it is so original it is based on one perspective that no one else but one character who made all the creation no contradictions no faults no confusion. man you have written what do you think and i am answering you with what i believe so it,s up to you to listen to my advice or not; my advice is; look around you through an unworried eyes and keep one question who made all of this?

If that is true, then you cannot say that anything is wrong. There would be no objective way for you to say so. Look at what Hitler did for instance...You could not say that was wrong, it would just be that you don't prefer that, or its just a dislike of yours. You could never say that it was wrong of him because you are saying there is no moral code, nothing outside of yourself that "says so". It would be a world full of likes and dislikes. You just would have to admit you didn't like it, if all that matters is what you and I think. Also, based on your last statement, it seems you are quite the gambling man, or woman. Being on Yahoo Answers, in this section, you KNOW the truth, now you have no excuse.
Your stance wouldn't fly in court, or in filing a police report, if I did something "criminal" to you, because I could say, "I thought it was the greatest thing to do!", and you say it wasn't, so???? But no, we all know certain things are wrong, in ALL cultures, everywhere. Its always wrong to do certain things...no one even had to teach those things....

My man, I will pray for you and ask God to take the scales from over your eyes. I will ask that the first person that commented on your question, that God do the same for him/her as well. How lost both of you are. You won't be thinking like this on judgement day. You will only be kicking yourself in the but for supressing the truth. You see, you have heard the truth about Jesus Christ dying on the cross for your sins and believe me my friend, you have sinned and are in the process of sinning right now. The first commandment, thou shall not put any gods before me, is what you are doing by putting yourself before God. Your thinking only of yourself when God is only thinking of you....Admit your sin and give it to Christ, God has forgiven you...STOP supressing it and have faith that you are freed from the wrath of God...

There is all kinds of evidence for belief in God but you chose not to believe. You will be without excuse on the day of Judgement.
Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole world. He rose from the grave so that you could have eternal life in heaven.
If you say you have not sinned you have deceived yourself. The Bible says that ALL have sinned-me, you and everyone!!

God does not send anyone to hell. Infact, to the contrary He died to keep you from going to hell. Your not saved by refraining from sin. For that matter your not saved by faith either. Salvation only flows from Jesus who loved you! God does not hold genuine daubts against us, rather Jesus walked among us so that we can see and know of what He is. So the question you should be asking is "was the life of Jesus worthy of our worship?"

If (BIG if) there is a Day of Judgement, either God or Jesus has to show up. At that point, I have proof of his existence; therefore, I believe that he exists. Then I say, "Huh, so the Christians were right. My bad, nice to meet you" and he says, "Nice to meet you too" and everything is fine. If he wants to judge me for sins that I committed when his existence was still unproven, I don't want to spend eternity with him. My friends don't judge. Either way, it's win-win for me as far as I'm concerned.

So you ,admit that "I have only sinned against my OWN morals", well that is enough. Where did these morals come from? Maybe from the God you don't believe in.

Nobody is going to send you to hell. You have choosen to have an eternity without Him (God) and that is what you will get, nothing more and nothing less - it's YOUR choice NOT HIS. Don't blame Hif if you don't like it when you get to a plcce that the God you don't believe REALLY doesn't exist!

Fine. Just remember that Christianity doesn't own god. It's easy enough to reject the god of Christianity, but that doesn't necessarily mean rejecting god as a concept.

The difference between the two is the difference between being an atheist because you've thought it out, or being an atheist because you think it's the best way to reject Christianity.
