why is it that people give a thumbs down just because my answer is better or maybe makes more sense?

Now I don't know if I should be more offended by the 5 thumbs down or laugh at it.

if you go back and look at the questions that I answered, there was no real reason for a thumbs down. I thought maybe they were threatened that my answer was better than one of theirs and are now going to all my answers and giving me thumbs down on all of them.

Don't take it personally. It was likely just a difference of opinion about your answer, so if people disagree, then you will see thumbs down.

People don't give a thumbs down for answers that are better or that make more sense.
If they don't like your answers, your response may be a bit hasty or impractical for that situation. We can't always be right, so we should be careful to answer with sincerity and a commitment to help that person.
If you don't know the answer, wait it out and listen to what others have to say. It may be just what we all need in order to grow and learn. We can learn more by listening, than by talking.

There are people on here with all sorts of opinions and not everyone will agree with the answers you give. There is nothing personal about it since they do not know you. There are broad differences in opinion amongst the public. That is just the way the world is. And in many instances there is no right or wrong answer. For the most part our answers to questions are just an opinion. And people in turn rate it. And that is their opinion. That's all. We all do not share the same "truth". My reality may not be someone elses reality. I do not get upset about it.

um....actually, no offense luv, but that just doesnt make any sense at all.
who on earth would someone give you a thumbs down if they sincerly believed your answer made more sense then thier own or others?
The quality of ones answers is a matter of perception. only those who percieve your answer as good or bad are allowed to vote for them. that is why you are not allowed to vote for your own. what difference does it make if you think your answer is good or not? in the big scheme of things.....basically none. i hope i dont sound harsh. its just that people could easily have reasons for giving you a thumbs down....theres no place to explain why you voted how you did.

maybe they thought your answers were good and they did not want them to be the top answer so they put thumbs down, just to put you down. Keep trying it will get there!

I give a thumbs down to a question if I think...
it's silly
it's racist or mean
it's too long
it doesn't make sense to me
It makes me feel as though I have some power...LOL

It's because you made them feel stupid, so they have to be mean so they can feel better about themselves.
