I've been breaking out around my chin and jaw line. What usually causes this (as opposed to other places)? What can I do to prevent it?
Thanks!

usually if your job involves holding the phone receiver onto your mouth all day long..or frequently.. chances are you have a dirty receiver and you need to use an anti-bacterial wipe to clean it.
other than that, most commonly is the hair length. is your hair touching that jaw line and chin (breakout area?) if so, definitely pull it back into a pony or grow it!

I have problems with my forehead... It gets super oily all the time and breaks out terribly if I don't wash it AT LEAST two or three times a day. I'd say, wash your face often, at least twice a day, and give special care to the area that is affected (your chin and jawline). Try a scrub, then a gentle cleansing face wash, then a face cleanser to apply and leave on, not wash off. Then do all of that at least twice a day (especially the cleansing wash). Also, try not to touch that area a lot because oils from your hands can transfer to your face. If problems persist and get very bad, no matter what you try to do, you could seek the help of a professional. Good luck, and have a great week!

if you touch your chin a lot throughout the day then the bacteria from your hands will transfer to your face. the best way to prevent it is to not touch your face and keep the area clean with your current acne prevention treatment (like proactiv) or just buy astringent from wal-mart for like 1.00 and keep the area clean and avoid touching it

It is hormones honey!! There is nothing you can do to prevent it. You can get a description at your doc for the breakout. That is what I did and my face don't have out breaks any more.

Drink more fresh, cold water, don't ever touch your fingertips to your face (unless you're washing it), and wash with Dial white soap a few times a day.
