I got bloodwork taken for mono last week. The doctors said they would call me when they got my results back from the hospital. They never did so my mom called them up. The receptionist at my doctors office called them up and they said they had results for one of my tests but couldnt give them. My mother called them back today and they said they didnt have them at all anymore. They told us they would get them back from records and call us. Once agian they didnt. Im getting really mad and worried I have to do the tests agian. Is there anything I can do to get my results faster?

My mom works at the hospital so she might be able to see the records.

The really EFFECTIVE way to get the results is for th PHYSICIAN to personally call the lab for the results. THAT WORKS. Have seen it many times. Cll yor doc and ask him to call the lab...labs get much more cooperative when the physician is on the line.

If you have an appointment to go back to the doc, then they will wait to tell you the results then. Since your mom works at the hospital, she can always go to medical records and get copies of your test results. Some people have access to the computers and can look up the results but I don't reccommend doing this. My hospital monitors ALL computer usage and we can get fired for using them to do stuff like that.

I am also sure that if there was anything major, the dr.s office would have called you.

I'd just go to the lab or hospital where you took the test and sign for copies of the results. Sometimes the receptionists don't always give the doctors the info on time. You will be able to tell if it's positive because it will either read positive or will give a range of what is normal. Above or below this range would be abnormal.

if you have mono they will certainly let you know . those people are busy and don't want to waste their time by telling you everything is allright .see the doc. anyway

They are giving you the runaround....if you show up in person...and sign a medical release form...or say that you need it really bad...they just might give it to you...
