Is there a way to convert MIDI files DIRECTLY into MP3s?

I don't know of any way to directly convert MIDI to MP3 files. The reason being, MIDI is not actually music as such. It is a multi-track instruction set that tells a synthesizer instrument which notes to play, velocity, duration, and a several other parameters. MP3 is a particular music format.

I dont think so, MIDI files are just simple tunes played.. like polyphonic ring tones.. you just have to download mp3's
