if you're picking between the tahoe or the trailblazer, there wouldn't be that much of a difference in terms of fuel efficiency. you'll still be pulling over to fill up every so often. what would make a difference would be either: 1. getting a hybrid version, or 2. shop around for a diesel SUV. but then, the problem is that hybrids are hella expensive (plus you don't know how much it would cost to maintain the electric engine), and diesels are more expensive to maintain (and harder to find, i think?). if you plan on keeping the vehicle for quite a while, like maybe 8 years or more, then you can go for either the diesel or the hybrid. otherwise, you're better off just getting the petrol-powered version.
