-_-, the three second rule does not apply to any food stuffs. THe only variable which makes a difference to the contamination of droped food is the clenliness of your floor. Quite often if people know that their floor is clean they'll eat something small that dropped on it. As soon as food, or anything for that matter, touches a surface, any bacteria on that surface where the food landed is instantly transfered to that item.

The three second rule usually apply to things that do not go "plop" when it hits the floor. If you have to pick it up off of the floor however, I would not recommend eating it. Though... it has yet to kill kids if they eat off of a clean floor.

The three second rule doesn't apply ever. It's a myth. Germs get on your food the second it touches the floor, or even counter.

It shouldnt even get within one foot of the floor, jell-o is so tasty it has magnetic properties and it attracts dust horribly..if you cant catch it in midair, call the dog in to clean it up

As long as it's not for your kids or someone you really like a lot...and make sure you cover it with a big gob of Cool Whip!
