"Thank you" is the one I prefer to do on a daily basis. Some times I even do it multiple times a day

Awhile back I was reviewing my Cathecism, and we are supposed to pray at least 3 times a day and grace at every meal--we are supposed to say Glory Be to the Father . . . ., The Apostles Creed, the Lord's Prayer, a morning and evening prayer. I try to say the Lord's Prayer and confess my sins and say a special thanks at bed time, and grace at supper. Whenever I start a difficult task or sometimes any different task, I ask for help, I ask the Lord to lead me every day and ask the Spirit to intercede for me when I encounter especially difficult people. I don't think we need a specific prayer. We should talk to the Lord often like a friend, with words coming from the heart so the prayers really mean something. just my way.

Having been born and raised Roman Catholic many decades ago, and being married to a woman similarly raised, we both have had certain prayers we were taught to pray every day. I've have "fallen by the way-side" as our protestant brethren might say, but hold special faith in "The Lord's Prayer" as the one I love and need most. My wife has one she calls her "Guardian Angel Prayer". She has prayed it out loud for me several times to remind me of it, but I still can't remember it. I can tell you, however, that I have finally found out why she prays that prayer most often and loves Christ's angels so much. I finally came to believe that she IS an angel, and she's earning her wings being married to me. I hope praying remains a consistent part of your life. It's the most important communication you can ever have, far surpassing Yahoo Answers or anything else you can say on the internet. God Bless you.

Lord's Prayer, Nicene Creed, Psalms among others. I'm from a deeply liturgical tradition so we have lots of prayers we say multiple times in a day.
Let me give a vote for "I pray the Lord my soul to keep...."
When I was a kid that was my nightly prayer and it stuck. It's quite sweet, really. When you have kids you find yourself praying sweetly simple prayers that touches you with the simplicity. If you have (or even if you don't) kids go get a kids' devotional book or prayerbook and take a look.

When Jesus disciples said teach us how to pray, He looked to the Heavens with hands out and prayed..........
Our Father which art in Heaven, Hollowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the power , and glory, for ever, Amen
Can you imagine the power in that prayer ! It has got to get Gods attention, and the power in it must be amazing. I pray it often to show God I love Him and want to do His will.
If Jesus said to pray it, then it must be very powerful indeed ! that is if it is prayed with ones heart felt emotions, meaning every word of it.
May God richly Bless you more than you can think or imagine.
