there is nothing bad about eating before you go to sleep. it's the food items that you eat that are important. you don't want to eat carbs before bed because your muscles use free fatty acids as the primary energy source when the body is at rest so there is no need for carbohydrates before sleep. elevated insulin levels also effect GH secretion which means your body would burn less fat during sleep.
you would want to consume some proteins and healthy fats.

I can't sleep when I feel hungry and the worst scenario would be to wake up with gastritis. You can try having some fruits, salad, cereal drinks or some biscuit.
Also try not to sleep immediately after eating. Wait about 30mins. Not sure if the waiting will helps but psychologically, I will feel less guilty.

I get weird dreams if I sleep hungry, try a handful of nuts or something to fill your stomach before bed, having hunger pains is never good its your body telling you to eat, so have a snack.

NO it isn't. I would grab an apple or a piece of fruit before bed. You might be hungry because the food you ate before wasn't filling to you.
I eat fruit or crackers before I go to be. NEVER go to sleep hungry.
