Found at the beginning of my new discrete math textbook by Grimaldi:
"Alla memoria di mia madre e mio padre con affetto e stima" - I would love to hear anything about context etc. purely for interests sake it's a math course after all :)

That was in your math book? Its sweet although I'd have to say its the first time I have ever heard of something so heart felt in a math book. I wish mine were that interesting...but luckily no more math classes for me!

Yes, it is very easy. It says: "A la memoria de mi madre y mi padre, con afecto y estima". Italian is easy to translate, even if you don't know the language
