Yes,
BUT you have to buy your own... the Army does not give them to you.
The good ones cost a couple of hundred dollars. I never got one because as a Reserve Officer I would only wear a sword at very rare occasions, (it goes with the formal dress blues uniform). However Regular Officers are expected to buy them because they have more formal occasions they must attend.

Yes comissioned officers in the Army can get swords, but the only non-comissioned officers that can get swords are the Marines.

Army Officer get swords.
Marine Corps Officers and Marine Corps NCO's also have swords as well. I have my NCO Sword hanging in my apartment with the Discharge.
The Mamaluke, or Officers, sword for the USMC is awesome. If you look it up on ebay, they are for sale. They are very nice.
All swords are for drill and ceremony purposes these days. Sword manual(proper use of the sword in drill and ceremony) was fun to learn when I was in the NCO course in the Corps.
Swords are not issued to personnel anymore. Now, when we had a parade that required them, we were issued them for the parade, but they were turned in after the parade. If you want one to keep, you had to purchase it on your own.

Okay, as far as I know the only branch of the service that administers a sword is the Marine Corps. That is only after you become an officer. In the best of my knowledge you must serve a full four years first and then get accepted into the naval academy. You should probably call your local recruiter to verify. A friend of mine received a sword from serving in Desert Storm. Also, I wouldn't reccomend joining the service just for a sword! lol

Yes the army officers do get swords as they are their only weapon of pride and strength which they carry. Be it any parade function or a army wedding, swords are must for them.

No, they do no longer look to be issued to officers in any respect. the only weapons they have are those that they are issued. IF the officer wanted a sword, he could would desire to purchase it together with his very own earnings.

Yes, all services have unique swords for their officers and senior noncoms. You can get them at the PX or order on-line.
