Firstly, I have to say that I absolutely adore your daughter's name -- Lydia is so spunky, fresh and beautiful and Violet is a favourite of mine. With that over, let me start again: Hi! My name is Nikki, and before you ask -- no it's not short for Nicole / Nicola / Nicolette / Veronica etc. It's just Nikki. I've been here on Y!A since about May last year and only really settled into things a few months ago. I'm 18 (turn 19 in April) and live on the eastern coast of Australia. I'm a beach-obsessed, slightly nerdy, bookworm, girly-girl. I have two siblings, and I'm the middle child. My older sister is named Holly -- she's 24 and works in event management. My younger brother (technically half-brother) is named Riley Harrison (the little guy in my picture). I love him dearly but sadly don't get to see him as much as I like because we live 1000 kilometres apart (literally). He is about 6 and a half months, currently and he's the most adorable baby in the world. I'm a uni student, studying science as a pre-med. I hope to specialise in paediatrics. I work part-time at a childcare centre, mostly in the nursery or preschool. I love it to bits. Favourite Names: -- Matilda Violet -- Madeleine Flora -- Caitlin Audrey -- Oliver William -- Benjamin Robert -- Jack Theodore :)

just go up and talk to her but try not to be too shy or come off as too errogant she may not respond to you at first but if she likes you she will show you in her own way, a really good way to get to know someone if you're in school or have graduated is offer to help them with something and show her you're a good person looks usually don't matter that much it's actions and whats inside that counts

DO NOT YELL TO US I hate it when guys yell at me especially out of a car or just start following me around, it's creepy and rude. The best way a guy has ever approched me is I was at a gas station and he came over and started talking to me asking where I worked if I had a bf and just anything and then he told me I was really beautiful and asked for my number, How could I not give it to him!!! It was so cute the way he put himself out there

first of all- get over your shyness and become friends first.
second- compliment talk about fav things.
third- on date buy her a gift or flowers and tell her you look really pretty tonight+ look at her straight in the eyes. Compliment her all night but dont talk so much. She'll think ur a chatter box. Talk about urself sometimes. Good luck

You smile first, then if things are feeling right for you both, you ask to go out for a soda.

A well-placed compliment can go a long way. Just keep it nice and clean. You can go into introductions from there...
