go to petfinder.com......this is a site for rescue groups.....just enter your Zip code, and enter breed wanted, and be AMAZED at how many great choices you have !!.....i recently adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog Sylvester is awesome !!.....check it out.....try it.....do a good deed.....adopt a female Daschund today !!!.....good luck to you, in your search for a female Daschund as a new pet !!!!.....most adoptions run between $ 50 to $ 200 maximum, for a wonderfull dog, who will be very happy to be your new pet !!!

You can also go to your local ASPCA/SPCA and adopt a dog from there. Although you may not find a Dachshund or a puppy, you can find a great, loving dog that needs a home.
Also, check for a local Dachshund rescue shelter in your area. They usually won't have puppies and most will be old(er) and may have been abandoned due to illness or injury. Either way, adopting a pet is a great idea. You are saving a life. What more can you want?
