Whats the difference between tonic, seltzer and soda?

Tonic contains quinine making it bitter-tasting - supposed to help fight malaria (popular with the English in India decades ago mixed with Gin).... seltzer contains an antacid to settle the stomach and soda is just tasteless carbonated water.

Tonic has quinine to make it bitter.

Seltzer uses a CO2 cartridge and plain water in a special dispenser.

seltzer and soda basically the same - tasteless, but fizzy
