Hairdressers (like most women) love to gossip, plus we are a little more flamboyant and artsy than most-and of course we are in the beauty business so we will be the first to whisper about someones unibrow lol...but a real professional should know when to put a lid on it. Even in beauty school they told us how to deal with clients and that they don't want to hear your crap, they want you to listen to theirs! I would give her a second chance though, just see how it may be next time, and even try to change the subject a little, maybe she will get the hint. If she doesn't maybe you can try someone else then....this depends on how much you like your hair too, cuz it's hard to find someone who you really love doing your hair and you'll have to ask yourself which is more important (this of course if you did love the way she did your hair-if not than it's no loss )

If they were more interested in drama than cutting my hair and talking to me then no I would not go back. I think that most of them gossip so much because they really don't have much else to talk about. Also because some people go in there and tell their whole life story to them and they find it interesting or funny or whatever and talk to all of the other hairdressers after that person leaves.

In general they gossip because people tell them secrets while getting shampooed and are in a relaxed mode. they forget to keep their guard up. then the hairdresser passes that info along to others not to be mean but to keep up his/her end of the conversation.

If u are not her regular customer don't go to her anymore.she seems a bit depressed and is probably using her customers for therapy sessions to get things off her chest.

They have nothing better to talk about. Heck, if I did hair all day, I'd want some gossip.
