My college teacher is trying to convince our class that leftys are smarter than right handed people and so I'd like to defend myself and all other rightys if I can. Any genises would be the best . but anyone will help at this point

I think and hope that he's doing this as an exercise to make you think for yourself. You've done just that, in arguing back against him.

In general, remember that right-handedness is the status quo. Left-handedness is the rulebreaker, so we wouldn't simply state "Right-handed," we'd just assume it until someone pokes up and says, "Hey, Leonardo da Vinci was left-handed."

Handedness has nothing to do with intelligence. It may play a part in adaptability, seeing as how you have to approach a world which is overwhelmingly right-handed.
