A teacher or professor so you can have more time off during the year.
Or...choose a career in something you love so much that you would do it for free and then go to the right college to make that happen.
Pick something that will pay well so you won't have money worries and financial struggles all your life.
Best wishes to you!

I would recommend that you volunteer in a field you may be interested in. And if when you are ready to head off to college, chose a career for a hobby or field you enjoy doing and think about most. The difference between a job and a career is that a career you actually want to get out of bed and go to work. with a job even when you are well paid getting out of bed can be a hard thing to do. But don't rush into it, think about it like this, do you think like you did when you were 14? then I can assure you, you will think differently when you are 18. Just as an adult would not take career advice from a 16 year old, you should be cautious advising yourself on life changing decisions.
But be aware of what brings you the most joy and see if you can get a career in those fields.

Start with this great website.
www.californiacolleges.edu There's a career componant on this site. Take the career interest inventory. From there it will suggest possible careers and majors related to the careers.
And don't despair. It's unfair to ask anyone under 25 what they want to be when they grow up. Most of us don't know at 50.
Good luck!

I think a nice, broad field to go into is social work because there are so many different fields of social work to go into. There is government positions such as child protective services, school social workers, medical care social workers, etc. Not only that, but anywhere you might live will most likely have a demand for social workers.

Go wherever you heart leads you. A good carrer choice is medicine. It is a noble profession, something you can always be proud of and it pays enough to support you and your family. There is almost always a need for nurses and/or doctors. It is something that can make you feel good about yourself. I know of very few doctors who regret having gone into medicine. Good Luck!

Don't stress yourself if your not in college yet. Most college students change their major or initial intention. Just major in a broad subject you have interests in and as you take classes your interest's may narrow.
