Isn't it a bit insane to to believe that a loving, caring entity would slaughter millions and millions of innocent people to teach them about sin, and overcoming adversity?

We aren't talking about man-made chemical spills, or sins of the father visited upon the son. These are random, natural, events that the victims had nothing whatsoever to do with.

2004 - 250,000+ dead in a tsunami caused by PLATETECHTONICS, a natural event going on for billions of years.
2003 - Bam Iran - another 40,000+ killed in earthquake.
1931 - China - 1 to 4 MILLION killed in a flood.
1920-41 - China - drought - over 10 million to die of starvation

Totally innocent people, doctors, teachers, librarians, women, children, infants... they didn't know what killed them, or why. Almost all were BUDDHIST or HINDU, and you can bet their families never heard of Jesus Christ!

If an asteroid hits the earth & the world starves to death in 6 months, is that another of god's little lessons? Who'll survive to learn it?

If god doesn't "make" the natural disasters, then why do they happen? If god made the earth for us to live on, he had to know these things would occur. If these events are not intentional, then he is either very careless in his planet building, or just indifferent to his creations.

If God protected humans from all the ill effects while Satan rules the planet, what would humans conclude then??? Remember that God can fix everything and that he has promised to do so and trust him while he allows you time to learn and grow and decide for yourself who you will follow. 1 day with God lasts 1,000 years and he can recreate all who have died. He can also repair any physical or emotional scars in an instant. Why do you keep blaming him for causing bad??

New theory or speculation: All natural things are given the will of choice like you and me. They can help to make the earth fertile for the growth of more food or the destruction of life and properties. Even the star also have the will to drop on the earth or avoid the earth. Or the earth would have told the asteroid to get lost. If we don't believe in this possibility how would the first life began to begat so many things in the world today.

No, they are way to balance out our population...plus this world sucks...physical death is better. God is greater than we will ever understand until our last day. The point is we can't take life for granted, it is true we are ALL like sheep awaiting slaughter.
BTW these horrible disasters bring out emotions, love, mercy, help, and more out of so many people, so if they hurt you I am sorry, but it is all a part of life in this world. history repeats itself and our future has already been told...yes many more HORRIBLE things will come upon us so lets try to love and accept our humanity and others before we have our last day like billions others who already have.

God is not to blame. He gave mankind a perfect stqrt but humans have chosen to ignore Gods requirements and decide for themselves what is good and what is bad.(Deut.32:4,5; Eccl.7:29; Gen. 3:5,6)by doing this they have come under the influence of wicked superhuman forces. - Eph. 6:11,12

1 John 5:19 the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one
Who is the wicked one?

2 Tim. 3:1-5: "know this that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be hear. for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming,haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather then lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power"( this is the fruitage of centuries of apostasy from true worship. These conditions have developed because people who have profesed to be religious have ignored what Gods word really says.they have proved false to the power for good that true godly devotion can have in ones life.)

I'm a Christian and I don't believe that God send natural disasters to teach, punish, or give us grief. I believe He helps us deal with problems associated with them.

I don't think he always makes natural disasters happen but he knows they are going to happen and he allows them to happen. I believe he always warns people though. I believe he uses these tragedies to bring those who survive closer to him and to being a better person.

They are misled. The water does not teach lessons because it does not strive, it simply does what it does. However, you can make a lesson and learn from the chaos if you are willing.
