We are getting married in northeast Mass and spending $675 for the photographer (he's out of boston), 0 for florist because I am going to use silk flowers instead of spending $1000 on flowers that will die before I even get back from my honeymoon so I expect to spend 100-250 at Michaels or AC Moore and we got 2 limos (one larger for the wedding party) for a couple hundred (exact price tbd). We used craigslist to find the photographer and videographer and I wish we could have done that for everything! It was great. People just contacted us with tons of deals but we are getting married in march which is somewhat slow for weddings.

Here are the California prices I paid for my 2005 wedding ->

1) Flowers $200 - diy bridal bouquet, 1 moh bouquet and some arrangements in the room (not on every table). I got my flowers (hdyrangeas & roses) at the Flower Mart. You should see if there are any in your area.

2) Photographer - $1500 for 6 hours of photojournalistic style shooting, we also did some posed shots

3) We didn't need limos because our wedding & reception were in the same place. If you know someone with a nice car, you can see if they will drive you. Or try renting a car and have a friend drive. It's not as private or as large as a limo, but it's a cost-cutting alternative.

I am curently planning my wedding and things are definatly not cheap. I live in Canada though so my estimations are based on what i've found in Canadian prices. I'm expecting to pay no more than $200 at the florist because i'm not doing any fancy bouquets or decorating the church or anything. I'm just having a small bouquet for myself and each bridesmaid is holding a single flower. The guys will have boutieniers and the flower girls will probably have a tiny bouquet as well. You need to shop around for the best deal based on the type of flowers and sizes of bouquets you want.

I looked at lots of photographers and most had their lowest package at over $1000. The cheapest i found was around $800 for a very basic package with not many pictures. It's crazy. Limos are also insane. All limo companies i found have wedding packages based on hours of service. The cheapest i have found is about $699 for 5 hours. And i think thats only one limo with a tuxedo driver. They all come with red carpets and champagne and that type of thing.

On average i would say weddings cost about $20,000 but depending on what you want, your location, the size of your party, and the number of guests, it can cost much more or much less. Mine looks like it won't be more than $10,000.

Depends mostly on the sanity of the bride.

!. Florist was close to $1000 for me.

2. I don't remember how much the photographer was, sorry.

3. I got a good deal on a Lincoln Navigator Limo that held 16 people for $850 with the tip included.

It depends on where you live and how early you start planning. You really need to hit the bridal shows that start soon but you need a lot of good ideas before you get there so you can take advantage of the booking discounts at the shows. The photographer is the most expensive. The one our daughter chose worked in a journal style rather than the usual line up of shots and cost 5000. The reception is where you spend a lot of the money so find the place you want and can afford...

I am planning my May wedding. We booked a State Park for the out door ceremony and booked a reception room they have all for $325, then we rented chairs and an arch for $200, the place had tables so now all we have to do is pay for food and little things like decoration. So my projected cost is about $1500, and it will still be beautiful. We are serving a BBQ dinner and keeping with a casual theme with elegance.

The US Average is around $20,000. For a decent wedding with trimmings, $10,000 is a good budget. You can have a nice wedding for $5000, and elope for $2K.

AB Custom Printing has an allocation chart example at the back of their budget planning worksheet. Start with that to get some general idea based on your budget (it is more what you should spend when you've set a budget.)

As much as the hosts decide to spend on it.

There is no way for us to calculate this for you because prices vary widely based on the town you live in and what you're buying.

You saying what is a good prices for florist or photographer is like asking: What is a good price for groceries? Well, How many grocery items? What kind of food? Ac art load full of what exactly? Groceries could be anything, just as a photog package or a florist.

I've seen figures ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 for the "average" wedding.

The national average is around 22k...however, if you live in a large city (philly, DC, boston, miami) things are going to be more like 25k+...if you live in a small town, then things are going to be a little cheaper.
