The Messiah in the Quran is Isa al Masih ibn Mariam or Isa the Christ son of Mariam.
Muslim scholars mistakenly use Jesus in translations of the Quran in place of Isa but this is an affront to Islam and stands in defiance of Allah
All current Muslims websites use false and erroneous translations and the scholars themselve are confused and misled and mislead others.
It will be better for you to do some research on your own if you really want information, and this would include a bit of the Arabic language.
You can get yourself a copy of The Age Of Reason (www.Xlibris.com) and get some of the secrets of the Scriptures and the connection between the Masih of the Quran and the Christ of the Bible.

"The Mahdi" or the divinely guided one, is an end-times figure of the Shia Muslims. He is also called "The Twelfth Imam" or "The Hidden Imam." He supposedly hid from Sunni persecution in 874 AD, and Allah has preserved him alive all that time, and he will return one day to guide the world. Pres. Ahmadinejad of Iran is actually trying to prepare the way for the Hidden Imam's imminent return
The Sunnis also use the term Mahdi, but they refer to any of a number of "guided ones" throughout history.
This explanation is very inadequate, I know, but I am not a Muslim and am just beginning to learn about these things.

The philosophy behind the "Messiah theory" has the greatest weight in human life...not the name of a person...
Messiah was killed oppressively and by conspiracy due to the corruption in justice system and barbarism....
Therefore all victims in the World have developed "Messiah theory" on the ground to give HOPE to the victims to be able to continue their LIFE WITH HOPE.
Do You know how important is the role of HOPE in our life...?
We as the victims of oppressive and corrupt governments always having HOPE that Messiah return to earth and revenge us...
In Iran we call 'Mahdi' this is not all Muslim believe, it is Iranian made 'Islamic Religion' named "She a eh" believe to the said Messiah theory".
How far this "Messiah theory" goes...perhaps over 7000 years in Iranian History...As you may know...IRAN is a holy land of ALL religion in the World...You must remember IRAN or PERSIA as it named in the west was the biggest kingdom from China to Europa and even Egypt was the province of Iran at 500 BC...
Whatever I said in these few sentence is result of 60 years search...I hope it was useful for you...please ask me any question if you have..

A.K.A., the anti-christ. The illuminati have him all set up to be accepted both by the Jews as their "messiah" and by the Moslems as their "Mahdi." This will enable them to finally complete THEIR religion by re-building the Hebrew Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem. God says that when that happens, the end already had started.
One website that'll tell you some creepy stuff is cuttingedge.org. Have fun.

Jesus and Imam al Mehdi (Shia Islam belief)
Imam al Mehdi is the son of Hasan al-Askari, whose shrine was recently (2006) destroyed by the followers of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (may he rot in hell), the former leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.
