Yeah, I agree it has to do with when you go to sleep. I am in bed by 9pm (I'm at work by 6am). I try not to eat past 6pm. So 3 hours before you go to sleep is a pretty good measure.

My nutritionist told me that it's not good to eat anything for at least 3 hours before bedtime. So whatever bedtime is for you, don't eat anything after 3 hours before that time.

2-3 hours before bed because when yoiu eat right before bed you feel full and cant get to sleep.
if you cant resist eating right before bed, eat something healthy like celery with peanut butter and raisins, carrots, crackers, apples, or raw veggies. and only eat a very small amount :]
