I saw the movie Boondock Saints with my husband. I have actually seen it many times. I know that I have felt that way before. It is not fair that so many criminals walk free. The question this movie brought up though is this. Is there such thing as justifiable homicide. I feel that there is so does my husband but our friends thought they were just as bad as the people they were killing. I disagree. In times of knights and kings this would have been known as justice.

And Shepherds we shall be

For thee, my Lord, for thee.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand

Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee

And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti.

on another note to clarify the strip club part.

In the directors cut you find out that those guys are mob hit men that Roco knew. Not innocent by standers.

There are times when the most just thing to do is not the most legal thing to do.

And yes, there is justifiable homicide - self defense

I don't believe that there could truly be such a thing as justifiable homicide.

You mentioned in the times of knights and kings... this was before Christ came and in those times things were taken and done literally or in the natural. But since Christ has come, bled, died, rose again and assended back to heaven things are now spiritual and no longer done in the natural as in the days of knights and kings. We fight spiritual battles against principalities in the spiritual whelm not in the natural. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.

Also, VENGENCE is mine saith the Lord and He will repay. We are not to judge. In Gods eyes - unlike man's - there are no big sins and little sins. ALL unrighteousness is sin. You having unforgiveness is just as bad as someone that may have slaughtered an entire family for no reason. Nevertheless, in God's eyes, both acts are unrighteous. If a person that has unforgiveness in their heart sincerely asks God to forgive them He will, just like the person who may have killed someone, if he is sincere God will forgive them as well.

It depends on whether or not you agree with vigilantism. (Thats what the Boondock Saints were doing) There are situations where I could see it as justified, though I thought they were being too indiscriminate when they blew away all 3 guys in the strip joint. Some guy getting his rocks off in a place like that because he can't get laid isn't that terrible. The mob guy, yes. The other two guys, no.

LOVE the movie Boondock Saints.
CAN vigilante justice be just? sure it can.
it can also go off half-******, be blind, hurt innocents, and fail to act on all information in a level headed way. that's what's the problem with it.
