is there a strict definition between 'white' and 'black' magic? wiccans told me they only use white magic

thank you all, this has helped me and my understanding alot, i'm sure everyone would have said, "oh magic is good, encourage diversity!" but looks like everyone's pretty good about it. (oh and i'm christian by the way).

There is a strict definition between white and black magic. White magic isn't harmful in anyway. Black magic is a very negative harmful magic. There is also something called gray magic, which has elements of both white and black magic.

Wiccans do not practice black magic, or at least they shouldn't. It is against the Three Fold Law and the Wiccan Rede.

A person must be cautious if doing black or gray magic. Whatever harm you plan on doing to someone will come back to you times three. It is against the Wiccan religion to do anything harmful.

I am sorry but why in the world do ask wiccans!? Wiccans don;t have special powers or esle ethey would have some actul life and be rich and have their perfect love right?/ If they are not rich they do not have powers , it is simple if they had powers they would use it to magically get money and if they don't have money then there you go no power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wiccans don't use White Magick. Theurgy is White Magick, and most Wiccans shy from it, it's source is "divine power" and such, and frequently involves prayer to gods and angels.

Black Magick is more open to interperetation, however. Anything from the Goetia could be considered Black Magick, as can any Chaotic or Luciferian Magic. Also, most other kinds of magick, though not inherently evil, could be considered "black" if they were used for evil purposes. I.E. love spells cast on your underage first cousin might be a little on the creepy side. Praying to god to kill all the canaries, similarly creepy.

Wiccans don't this kind of Magick much- in fact they tend to resist the classification of Magick in general terms to Black and White. Wiccans are viewed by other Magicians as "Grey", while they tend to view themselves as having a bit more color and variety than we Black Magick sorcerers give them credit for.

I love Wiccans. They are kind to me for no reason.

The black magic is to co-erce or harm other people, or make them do something they do not want to do. White magic is helping people if they have a problem and so on. Wiccans only use magic for good and the saying is that if bad you use,
not good for thee. for return it will by rule of three.
The Wiccan law is-do whatever you will, as long as you harm none.

There is suppose to be good (white) and bad (Black) witches, they think that their magic comes from nature, but as a christians, i know that the magic comes from the devil. The paradox in christianity and wicca is that both religions love to read Harry Potter and I have never understood this. Christians should not be reading a book filled with magic, but anyways, enough of my agenda...

Power of magic is like a sword. On the path of spirituality its a free gift. It comes with a divine permission to use or not to use it. Enlightened beings ignored it or used it with permission for the welfare of beings and got enlightened. Whereas wicked (wiccans) used it otherwise at their will and created sufferings for themselves and others. Power is just power, its use make it white or black.
