The bible doesn't promote or condone any of those things but it tells you that whoever does these things will be tormented in hell. If you read on a little more you will see that it is not saying these things are okay. These rapes and murders happen in the real world. The bible is not a book of some perfect fantasy world, only Heaven is that way. Isn't it true that people murder and steal in the world we live in? This book is simply stating that these things do happen. If these things were not included it would be like a parent sending their child out into the world without telling them that there are bad people out there.

I know that God had a lot of people killed but he is God and everything he does is for our own good.

The Bible doesn't promote those things at all! it actually speaks against every one of those things. Never says anything good about them. It says that God hates those things. No offense but you're just proving your own ignorance. Ever even read the Bible??

The israelis where surrounded by enemies who wanted to kill them. The israelis were the only followers of God at the time and everyone hated them. God protected them when invaders came and during wars. It was hard times back them.

God could have easily destroyed all humanity, but he trusted there would be some good people who would listen to him and do his will.

Thanks to God patience and love we are still here with a chance to have eternal life in paradise.

Sir, YOU ARE WRONG!

The Bible DOES NOT PROMOTE these, BUT the Bible does tell of the Sins of Mankind!

(Acts 17:30-31) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

(Act 17:31) Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Thanks, RR

The scriptures do not promote these behaviors. Just because its in there doesn't mean God wants people to go out and do it. ITs not like He said--dude go gang rape that girl...shes hot..... or dude go steal some dubbies from peter.... or dude lets barbeque judas...read up---Biblical ingnorance is rampant.

The Bible is a good book, as it is filled with mans evil,vs Gods goodness in saving evil man from destroying himself. It tells the loving story of Jesus who died to take away our sins so that we, the evil ones, could have the Holy One in us and we could live forever. That is good news anyway you spell it. Its only bad news if you dont understand it. Keep asking questions, ask God those also, and you will find your answers in Him.
