I'm looking into an internship in West Kilbride, Scotland, and can't get there to look at the area. Is it a pretty area? Anyone know were I could see pics?

Nice area.

Although the village is inland, the sea is only two miles away. (A visit to Portencross is recommended).

The village has a range of facilities. The (quaint) railway station has an hourly rail service to both Largs (12 minutes away) and Glasgow (47 minutes away). There is a half-hourly bus service to Greenock (via Largs and Weymss Bay) and to Ayr (via Ardrossan, Irvine and Prestwick).

Good choice of housing in the area, although some of it, by Scottish standards, will be pricey.

Try contacting West Kilbride Library (North Ayrshire Council) for further details: 01294-822-987
