Ok i am a jr. in high school and have always been bigger than the rest of the kids but not really obeice. I play football and my coach tested my body fat content on a scale of some kind...needless to say its 30% and i have calculated that in order to get to a healthy percentage ie. 15-25% i must lose 40lbs before football starts in May. Now im involved with wrestling (which is a very intense and high in cardiovascular exercise), and ive always worked out regularly. A university nutritionist also calculated that i need 4,200 calories a day to maintain my weight so i've changed my diet so that i eat less than 3,000 calories aday so that by the end of the week i cut 7,000 calories out of my diet or 2 lbs. Sorry for the life story but i just want to know if this is a good way to lose weight and if there are any other things i can do to get down to 225 by May and still maintain my strength in the weight room? Is there anything else i can do? thanks
