"Bless" may once have meant "annoint with blood," but that was a very, very long time ago and language has changed since then. Does it make sense that cars have dashboards considering that, now that we don't have horses to try to hurry along, we no longer carry dashes to rest on them? Is anyone trying to push for the word "gay" to go back to only meaning "happy?" What words once meant are only significant for historical consideration. What they mean now is what matters. So I'd definitely go with "God bless you," given the choice :-)

If it is the blood of Jesus I appreciate the fact that God loves me enough to come to earth in the form of the man named Jesus and bleed for me. It takes a lot of love to do that, and maybe one day you will open your mind and heart so that same blood will save you. Jesus fed thousands of people with a few fish and a little bread, and the blood he shed for us is enough to save us all, including you if you will let Him.

ONLY in YOUR mind...

Very few people believe that blessings are just being covered in blood...

it is a blessing to have a job...

it is a blessing to have a family...

it is a blessing to be warm...

it is a blessing to be fed...

it is a blessing to have a home...

it is a blessing to have friends...

it is a blessing to have people question your actions...

it is a blessing to be upon this earth...

it is a blessing to have a physical body...

these are all blessings.. even when they seem to be in too much pain, too much anguish, too much work, too much stress...

Jesus Christ, our Infinite and Perfect Blessing.

Remember the Xian anthem "I was washed in the blood of the lamb"

Maybe that will help you decide which sounds better. I think its a matter of which side of the fence you are on.

Ewwwww. Next time I sneeze, I'll do it quietly.

If you have a nosebleed when you sneeze and you cover yourself in blood, have you blessed yourself?

I prefer what Seinfeld recommends saying when someone of the opposite sex sneezes near you. " .... you're so good looking ! ..... Good Luck ! :)
