Please explain, if you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, etc...

Why do you believe in whatever it is you believe in, honestly???

Let me point out to you right now, that everybody is atheist, including you. I go one god further. Why don't you believe in gods like Zeus, Apollo, or Thor? Because they are fairy tales with a complete lack of evidence! But they still have that weak evidence of ancient scripture. Oh! The Bible is a historical proof? No it is not proof, it is more accurately historical faith. God obviously doesn't show any proof, or you would know it.

I see no reason to believe in any religion, there was never a god that came to me personally and told me what to do, just man-made books written thousands of years ago. Faith is a virus, and once you figure out that reason is the answer, the world will be free of 9/11, crusading, crucifying, witch-hunting, war starting religious evil.

Atheism is not evil, it is only the virus of faith telling you it is.

Man is born with religion. It's the way he responds to his maker, the wonder that he feels when he looks out over God's creation, the pain he feels when he sees a total stranger hurting. The bible says pure religion and undefiled before God is to visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Religion has become distorted and used for evil and will continue to be because of man's sinful nature. Believing in God doesn't mean the same thing as believing in a religion.

Faith in Jesus Christ doesn't deny reason. Three of the gospel accounts were written by eyewitnesses and the gospel of Luke was written after a careful investigation that could be compared to a journalist of today going around and investigating a story and getting a variety of eyewitness accounts. Besides what is written in the Bible, which was not disputed at the time of it's writing there are extra-Biblical accounts along with the fact that the people closest to Jesus died horrible deaths rather than recant their testimonies.

Sure, a Muslim might die because he believes that it will end in him being in Heaven but that's not the same thing because that person is acting on faith about something they read and were told. The people who died for their faith in Jesus were people who knew Him and who claimed to have spoken with and eaten with Him after He was raised from the dead. They didn't have any reason to die for a lie. All they had to do was confess that Caesar was Lord and they would have been set free.

Here's a link that you probably won't want to read the whole of but it goes to an investigation done by Simon Greenleaf who was one of the founders of the Harvard School of Law. Mr Greenleaf wasn't a believer and he set out to prove by the rules of evidence used in a court of law that the gospel accounts of Jesus rising from the dead were unsupportable. At the end of his investigation he converted to Christianity. The link is from the University of Missouri/Kansas City School of Law.

Which scientists are asserting that? Are you speaking nicely-respected biologist types, or somebody else? Evolution is amazingly nicely-documented, and our close kinship with the different apes (we are additionally categorised as large apes) has a heck of relatively some data, fossil checklist-smart, genetically, previous-college taxonomically, and on and on. i might desire to nicely known who you're speaking with regard to here. i'm uncertain why it is so marvelous that we don't handle our cousins so nicely. There are nevertheless an embarrassingly large sort of people in the international who nevertheless classify different peoples as animals. this is the uncomplicated justification in the back of slavery, colonialism, and the terrible issues executed to mentally or bodily disabled human beings. they don't look to be _real_ human beings, they're animals, is going the coolest judgment. even nonetheless chimps and bonobos share lots genetic counsel that there are relatively some people who think of we could be pan sapiens, they provide the effect of being greater distinct from us than, say, a black individual does from a white. It should not be a marvel to everybody who's prevalent with somewhat heritage that we'd be so horrific to chimps and bonobos, not to point gorillas and different, greater distant cousins. additionally, no person "desperate" something. If that replaced into how evolution worked, then i visit "make certain" to eliminate the appendix and expertise teeth for my youngsters, 'cuz that sh!t sucks. No, what exceeded off replaced into something like one group lived and amassed further and extra in the savanna via inhabitants or ecological pressures, or the two, and that they gradually progressed to greater efficient stay to tell the story in that atmosphere. at last, after a pair million years, you finally end up with us. It replaced right into a satisfied accident, and if the forests weren't shrinking then, it is going to possibly not have ever exceeded off. there's no direction in evolution, no forethought, no plan. If there replaced into, i does not could be making jokes approximately expertise teeth and appendixes, because of the fact it truly is merely undesirable making plans.

You have made some great points on the evolution and dilution of religion. Your points the damage of religion are all well taken and purely acceptable.
The only mistake in your statement and the statements of many religions is the accusation of faith.
I'll explain my faith so that you have an understanding then I would like to hear your remarks.

First, I am Tianice.
Tianice means "Faithful".
Faith begins and ends in the spirit, one of the three parts of life.
I am a Priest A teacher of faith. Not a teacher of religion.
The belief structure I teach begins and ends within the spirit of man. Not in a God. Gods and Goddesses are the "following of choice" You as a spiritual being choose the path and god/goddess of your heart.
I teach myst. How to use your natural abilities.
I teach understanding of self. the three parts of yourself.
I teach people.
I have my own Goddess and My goddess is the earth. The mother of all things. The only one that is capable of feeding clothing and sheltering us. Our food comes from the earth, our homes are built from things that come from the earth and we cloth ourselves with the items crown or raised on the earth.
I believe in Nature. The natural existence that covers and covets all things.
There is a basic understanding of the Tianice.
In Spirit we begin and to Spirit we return. It is the natural order of things. This world we live on is the Physical world. We are here to learn. That is the reason we exist. We are here as custodians, To help each other and all living things including the earth.
Now. If my belief in Earth is wrong and my faith in people is wrong or my faith in the spirits of the living is wrong. Prove me wrong.
En Tis Blethec.

If you look at cellular construction it is a tiny designed machine, so is your heart and brain. Someone had to design your body and the universe. There was no big bang and all the sudden here is the world. There was however micro evolution, giving variations of species. The Natural Laws of Nature are the laws of physics etc..created by God if you violate one the ramifications are a disaster. Einsteins theory on thermo dynamics is found in 2nd Peter 3. I don't understand where the faith denies reason comes from. In fact in Christianity the scriptures tell us to "test" all things. God gave us reason, and he gave us the capacity to choose to be faithful to him. We must begin to think of the life of the mind and the life of the soul not as enemies but as the two wings that enable all of us to rise, as the late John Paul II once said, to the contemplation of truth.

I open my eyes and look at the complexities and the beauty of this world. It is really hard to digest that it just happened out of no where with out any driving force. I do not believe in multiple God because I think that every God would like to have things their way (as in the case of most Greek Gods) and it would lead to a lot of conflicts between them.

I believe in God not religion. Any religion that claims to be the only way to God is a lie. Most souls cross over.
