I already posted a question about what to do with my mom and her drinking problem, i got some helpful answers too! But the thing is alll of the answers i got were saying to forgive her and give her another chance cuz everyone makes mistakes, but the thing is, she has never been there for me all she did was give birth too me and only come around me to visit me (cuz my parents were divorced and my dad has full custody) she would alwyas be drunk and all ive ever had were bad memories of her! so really do forgive and forgett [[still]] or walk away?

you need to try and forgive her she might not have been there for you but she still is your mom try talking to her about the drinking and if she wont give up her drinking then tell her you would rather not be in her life till she cleans her act up

U and I are kinda in the same boat here all my mom does is drink and smoke pot then complains when it gone and put everyone in my family down when she is around.Your mom needs to get help for her problem maybe if you talk to her and tell her you want to have a relationship with a sober mom not one that is drunk when ever she is around I hope that this helps good luck and keep your chin up.

Well sometimes you got to think about how to make your life and the people in your future happy , When you have a husband and kids is your mother going to be a burden on them and your relationship with them ? The thing is to be sure you learn from her mistakes and not become like her . My father was abusive and a drinker and i made a conscious decision not to be like him and I have a great relationship with my kids . My brother on the other hand is just like my dad and his oldest it coming apart at the seams.

Try and talk to her and tell her how you feel and get help(she can join a support group or something) you cant give up on her,she loves and maybe she just feels alone!!but make sure you let her know you'll be there for her.

Have you tried refering her to AA maybe? I don't know if your dad and mother still talk but maybe have him talk to her? It'd be hard to give up on one's own mother, but for the record, i wouldn't hold it against you.

This one is a stratch but maybe hook her up with someone? or find her anything that she can go out and do that isn't drinking.

Walk away and then find a meeting for people with alcoholic parents.

Walk away. Just because she gave birth to you doesn't make her your mother.
