any-where from dark brown to black!!!!! my god that'll be cute... i had to do the same thing, but unfortunately i don't have straight hair so i have to straighten it all the time! and if that's a pic of you then it won't look bad it'll look great! or then again you could just go back to your natural hair color...

oh and at all costs KEEP AWAY FROM THE EYES!!!!!! and have a friend do the dying while you sit on the floor so that she can get all the spots you'll probably miss.

It sounds like a great idea, but I think you should go have it done in a salon the first time so that everything will be put on evenly and it will be the right base tone. After that you can freshen the color up yourself if you want. Since your going darker you should use a demy permanent color. You don't need to lighten and deposit, you just need color deposited into the hair. Hope you get what I mean. Good luck and take care.

don't do it yourself!!! especially because you have so many colors in it right now, it needs to be properly filled and colored back to a normal color otherwise it will look blotchy and drab. You may have to fork over the money to get it done initially, but if it's done, say...to match your natural color than you definitly don't need to get it done as often. Plus when you go darker the stylist knows to use a like a demi color that is soooo easy on your hair and will actually make it look more shiny. talk to your stylist at least first and see what it would entail, and I think you'll find a single process upkeep is much cheaper than hi's and lo's :) a consultation doesn't cost anything-but it sure will cost you in color correction after you use a box

I'd start super conditoning your hair... if your hair is dry the color might not turn out right. I had this happen. My dark brown turned out black, yikes! If your hair is really long you might need to buy two boxes of color. I like using Semi perminate, that way when it starts to grow out the roots aren't so harsh. Try going to a light brown. That way it's not too drastic. And if you want to go darker you can next time you dye. Just follow the directions on the box, they're easy. I've always done my own, you might need help though if your hair is really long.

I think you should stop ruining your hair with all the chemicals.
It's expensive and bad for your hair.

I think you should dye it a color similar to your natural hair color, and let it grow out.

Dying your hair with box dye isn't that bad. Just make sure you get a good brand, nothing too cheapy. Try going to light brown, that be neat.

Anyway, Box dye isn't all that bad. Just make sure you don't forget spots, especially around your forehead. Try applying lotion to your skin, forehead and ears. That way it'll be easier to wash the dye off if you get it on yourself.

Good luck...

you should go to a salon to get your hair dyed since your hair is so long because you don't want spots. i would suggest you go back to your natural hair color so you won't have to keep touching up your roots. plus, i think you'll look better w/ dark hair :)

can you remember what your natural colour was and do you remember the reason for changing it,
My advise would be to go darker slowly until you reach the shade that suits you as skin tone changes over the years, you will also have to change your make up to suit your darker hair

dying your hair is very bad for it but I would go and ask a salon on good self dying products. And read the instructions first!

You could buy these new highlighting kits with the brush and everything.
I want to for my highlights are very noticable that they are fading but my mum wont let me.
I find using the shampoo and conditioner by Sunsilk helps, if actually does what it says which is to bring out the natural tones in your hair.
I've only washed my hair 3 times with it so far and its working already!

I think you change your hair color to a light brunette or dark brunette. Then maybe get it layered......so you have hair of all length
