Try a Netty Pot. Found at any Natural Food Store. Fill with lukewarm water & 1/4 Tbsp. Sea Salt. Lean over the sink. Tilt your head to the side & insert the pots spout into your nostril. Pour the water into the nasal way so that it comes out other nostril. Repeat on other side. Don't forget to breath through your mouth. Then exhale through the nose & blow any excess fluid out. It sounds bad, but it works.....it's natural & much better for your health. I would get sinus infections regularly, prescriptions would clear it up, but before long it would be back. Now It has been years since I've had a sinus problem. There is a new approach called 'NeilMed Sinus Rinse", comes in a package with the salt solution & plastic squeeze bottle. It's more convenient, with same results. Most pharmacies carry this.

the cough is caused by post nasal drip, down the back of your throat. Without going out to buy anything, you can make a saline nasal drop solution. Mix salt with warm water, drop the solution into your nose. This is what doctors recommend for babies because they can not take medicines.
