i have the bill of sale,lien sale affidavit,lien claimant;s certification. and a letter,signed by the seller.

well i never had it registered yet, so do i contact the person i bought the car from?

You need the title, signed over to you by the seller. If you lost it, the seller will have to get a duplicate and sign it over to you.

this is always a great headache. the best answer you'll get w/o knowing your state is that your dmv will tell you all you should need. was it originally in your name? was it lost recently? was all the info current on it? did it show the lien was released previously? is anything notarized? ya see maybe re-post and we can help you better sorry.

Go to the DMV and apply for a lost title.

You just need to apply for a duplicate title. Since you already got it once, they have a record of it.

if they are notorized you should be done -where i am at all youd need is a notorized bill of sale
