Much of the Bible was written during his time as king, and much of the writings in the Bible extoll the virtues of wisdom.

Because he's wise.
And David might be a man after God's own heart...if God's an adulterous murderer. I guess he apologized or whatever...but at least Solomon married all the chicks he had sex with. I think. Well, he didn't kill some guy because he coveted his wife.
I don't know. Pick some examples from each, decide which is the best, and write your paper like a good little student. It's not so much about getting the right answer...it's about arguing whatever point you're making and how strong your argument is.

King Solomon is not better anymore when he was not able to repent God for forgiveness of his sin until his death. No record in the Bible if he was forgiven by God. In contrast to his father David.

In the Book of Proverbs, God said to Solomon " Ask anything of me it I will grant it". Instead of asking for the usual crap that allmost anyone else would have asked for, Solomon asked for wisdom.

He certainly had a great libido, according to the stories in the Bible. 700 wives with 300 concubines? Damn!
