You mean year round? Hot dry summers, lots of wind and sun, days of 100+ are common (we went 3 weeks at 105F+ here year before last) Not uncommon to see no rain for 2-3 months in the summer. Winters tend to be in the 20-30 range but paired up with high winds. I'm in eastern west Texas (south of Amarillo) and it's not uncommon to have winds of 20-30 mph day after day, with gusts up to 40. If that wind is coming out of the north in the winter, you're gonna feel like it's -10F out. Amarillo and up get lots of snow in the winters.

If you go further west, to say Alpine, it's in a valley and is spared the henious winds that you'd get 2 hours east in Odessa. It's more of a mountain desert climate.

The weather is nuts. We were in the teens the first week of December, with snow. Two weeks later it was in the 70s. This week will be in the mid 60s. We might get a blizzard in April.

This very day, three years ago, I was out at my place north of Terlingua. Nights were a bit cool, but it got close to 80 during the day.
