Good questions.
Why don't you Christians ask the 50,000 people in India who died in the Tsunami choking on raw sewage. Oops, you can't.
Oh well, clearly that was a lesson from the divine to teach them (and us) about sin, and to "strengthen" them and their loved ones through adversity. Especially all the children and infants who drowned.
God is just so darn smart in how he works... dontcha just love him!

We all have trials, and we become the people we are because of what we've been through. I'm sure there are people who make good choices, I just don't think I know many of them. Sometimes it has nothing to do with choice, bad things just happen. How we deal with those things is the key. Peace and happiness we'll get in heaven, not here. Here, we just have to snatch whatever happiness we can while it lasts.

Why did he 'allow' his only son suffer the worst death possible? Because he loved all of us.
Even good people suffer. I am unfortunate to know this.
Our test from God is to live a good life, dedicated to him, here and now.
A life that is full of tests, tribulations and challenges. All of this allows us to grow within, grow stronger spiritually and grow closer to him.
Ever hear the saying, 'Whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger'
When our time comes to live in the eternal kingdom, only the strongest and faithfull among us will be there.
Have faith, live your life for God, and have peace in your life, no matter what happens.

Most suffering is self-inflicted. C.S. Lewis reckoned that over 95% of all suffering in the world can be traced back to the evil actions of human beings. Who is responsible for all the children who have had their legs blown off by stepping on a land mine? Who do we blame for not feeding the starving when there is enough food in the world for everyone? Who is to blame for the spread of AIDS? Why build cities near active volcanoes?
God suffered Himself, He is no stranger to pain. When God, in Jesus, became one of us, He experienced suffering just as we do. - When Jesus died in agony on the cross, God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5 v 19

Suffering is a test to see how we do. For all the suffering we endure we will be compensated in heaven. God does not place a burden on anyone greated than they can bare

No one is entitled to peace on earth. Yet no one shall ever suffer more than Jesus did when He died for our sins. When we are told to take up our cross and follow Jesus, that cross is our suffering in our life.
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
That suffering is how we must pay for our sins in the flesh before we leave this earth. Even though our sins are forgiven by Jesus when we ask in repentance, we must pay for them in the flesh before we leave this earth. Embrace that suffering, for you are doing not alone but with the Lord.

God does not hurt us. Free will is a double edged sword. While you can choose to do good, you can also choose to do bad. If you do bad, you can hurt yourself and others. God could stop people from doing bad things and hurting others. But then we would not be able to CHOOSE whether we do right or wrong, and thus, we would not have free will.
God has provided all we needed. If we would stop hurting each other and focus on curing disease and helping one another, the world would be better. God has given us the tools to do so, but, some choose to hurt each other.

Yes that is true but we are people with free Will as you said and I agree. But God is also our Father He must discipline us and TEST our Faith that we have in him. Because If we don't get tested how are we to become stronger in God's will and he will teach us how to use our free will. Trust me even if I think I'm doing good with my free will I usually Get tested and God is there even though it doesn't feel like it. And Remember after hardships there are good times so keep believing in god and be ready for his testings!

GOD has given us (his children) the gift of choice. Jesus Christ came to save us and teach us that is why we are still here. GOD cannot stand sin - but because of Jesus we have been forgiven. But HE will let us do what we want to do - right or wrong. Because of Jesus Christ when we come to Him we are forgiven. When we mess up and come back again we are forgiven. As long as we go through Jesus Christ who saves us to talk to GOD we are forgiven and saved, but GOD gave us the gift of choice. We do not have to suffer if we live the way Jesus taught us to live. We do not do all of the things we are supposed to do, or we do the things we are not supposed to do - our choices; therefore, the suffering is self-inflicted!
