Do religious people believe that Prayers are answered and miracles happen at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem? I ask because my mother in law is going to J. next month with her church. She is going to put my brother's name on it because he is an atheist and she thinks that will help him to become a Christian.
Please no inflamatory antichristian or antijewish remarks. I just want to know if others in the religious world believe that about the Wailing Wall? My brother isgetting an unholy kick out of this.

I doubt she'll actually deface it by writing on it. Has anyone ever heard of Christians doing that?

I mean putting names on the Wailing Wall not writing on it. She would never do that.

I only know of these stories 2nd hand .. I have heard that people that are going through a tough time in life will write something down on a small piece of paper, roll it up and place it into a crevice of the rocks. I know that it has worked for some people. I have only known people of the Jewish faith who do this .. I have no idea if this works for people outside of that faith. Also, this is no proof of a "miracle" happening. Perhaps a miracle DOES happen .. perhaps it is just because the person EXPECTS a miracle to happen. If you believe there will be a change .. then there probably will be. Good Luck ! :)

The reason Jewish people put small papers into the wall and also why they pray there is because it is the closest place to the old temple that they have access to, many Jewish people believe that this will cause g-d to answer their prayers. I don't know that miracles deffinetly happen, but I have most certainly heard things - even aside from hoping for a miracle, the wall has a feel to it, I'm not very religious at all, but it gives you this feeling of how long it has been standing, and of something bigger than yourself.
To anyone going to the wall, I suggest the tour that goes along the wall under the Muslim quarter of the city, you see so much more of the wall that way, and get much closer to the sight of the old temple.

Even SATAN can perform Miracles!
God reveals Himself to ALL! See Psalms 98:2. Going to J will not bring anyone to Christ! Many go there a get caught up in the Hype!
Joseph the Historian said that in 93AD when Titus ransacked Jerusalem, that you could take a plow and go from one end to the Other!
Many of the Places called Shrines are nothing More than Tourist Traps! Only when Christ comes back and sets up His Millennial Kingdom for 1000-years = then J will really mean something!
So you don't think that I am out in left field, I plan to go this year myself to Jerusalem.
Thanks, RR

#1- The Wailing Wall is a Jewish holy site, not Christian site.
#2- You cannot write on it.
#3- You can place small bits of paper inbetween the cracks in the wall , with prayers on them.
I don't see a connection here ?

The wailing wall only works for Jews, because they are Gods chosen people, and it is the remains of their temple. If you want to save the Atheist you need to get a Wicca to put a Spell on him. Witches have powerful Magic. Just look at the Witch of Endor. She called up the Ghost of Samuel from his grave to speak with King Saul. xx

Whether or not actually having one's name on it will cause one to change their point of view is only for God to know, but it sure can't hurt...lol Can she put my name too? Maybe even you would like your name up there? I think it would be an honor really. Prayers, Happy New Year and safe travels for mom!

The prayer itself will avail much, but the paper in the wall seems like legalism. If it is legalism, God will not honor that.

Could be!
GOOD IDEA!
The Jewish People are still 'The Apple of HIS Eye!".
THE GOD still does Miracles!
This can also be done over the Internet using the Jerusalem post web site!
