He's currently over there himself. I don't really know the details but I think he might have been there when it happened. It’s breaking my heart, I feel so bad for him.

Does anyone have any good gift ideas or things that would keep his mind busy? Or that you think he might like? I would really like to do something to help. He won't really talk to me about it (understandable), and communication is very limited for him right now anyway. So I thought if I sent him some packages full of fun stuff that it might help...maybe not, but I want to do something & I don't know what would help most.

limendoz, I may not understand but at least I'm trying too. I'm trying to be supportive helpful & kind. I'm sure me leaving him alone is exactly what he needs. YOUR CRACKED ON THE HEAD WOMAN.

Send him a nice box full of some little things, like maybe a watch, and have a love letter from you to him in it. I'm sure if you write him a nice long love letter it will make him realize he still has people who love him in his life. It will make him feel better, I'm sure of it!

Baby, I'm so sorry. Mine's having a hard time with that one too. I just sent him a box full of random things from homes, pictures, a journal that I wrote him, some juice mixes & candy. I wasn't sure what to do either. BUT, the best thing for him is to know that your there & you'll continue to be there & when he's ready to talk he will. Might not be today or next month or even next year, but I know him & he will eventually open up.

limendoz - Marie's a far nicer person then I am, why don't you go back under the rock you climbed out of. People like you make me sick. She's doing what she can. AND DOING FAR BETTER A JOB OF IT THEN MOST WOMEN. What is wrong with you anyway?

infant, i'm so sorry. Mine's having a now no longer individual-friendly time with that one too. I only sent him a container crammed with random subjects from properties, pictures, a mag that I wrote him, some juice mixes & candy. I wasn't particular what to do the two. yet, the right factor for him is to appreciate that your there & you will stay there & whilst he's waiting to communicate he will. could now no longer be contained today or next month or possibly next 12 months, yet i understand him & he will finally open up. limendoz - Marie's a miles nicer individual then i'm, why do now no longer you come back decrease than the rock you climbed out of. human beings such as you're making me ill. She's doing what she will have the skill to. AND DOING lots better helpful a pastime OF IT THEN optimal ladies human beings. what's incorrect with you as nicely?

I think sending him a package is a great idea!! I'd say send cards, cigs (if he smokes), pictures of you guys, and of him and his friend if you have any. Send toys like the paddle with the rubber ball attached or a hackey sack... things that he can occupy his spare time with. He is probably in a really really hard spot right now, so just sending anything will help him know how much u care..... maybe a naughty pic too ;-)

A package full of fun stuff to offset the death of a friend during wartime? I don't think so!

Leave him alone. There is no way you could possibly understand.
