When you get a cold score and it finally disappears, does it leave a scar?

My cold sores started appearing a couple years ago, and since then I have had the same cold sore in the same place at least 7 times in a row. It's on the upper right side of my top lip and it scarred on the lip and continued above it as well. Now it looks like I have ink smudged there.

no, it will not scar. It may take it awhile to go away completely, but it will. Just give it awhile.

no, I've had a cold sore before and it didn't leave a scar.
